Our Community

At Silver Valley Farms, we believe in taking every opportunity we can to give back to the communities where we live and work. It’s part of who we are as people and as a company and we truly enjoy helping communities grow and thrive.

Initiatives

  • We visit classrooms to help students understand the value of agriculture and the various jobs that it creates or affects in other industries – jobs such as processing, packaging, retail and hospitality.
  • We encourage children to participate in sports, and are currently sponsoring the West Coast U12 Girl’s Division 1 soccer team.
  • We donate blueberries to the UBC Farms for their annual blueberry festival.
  • We help with the annual Maple Ridge agriculture fair, which is close to where we live and work.
  • We sponsor World Vision’s Alto Chicama Project in Peru. Over several years, we’ve supported their food security by donating resources for tools and valuable seeds. We also support their education through individual sponsorship.

Silver Valley Farms is also involved in other community initiatives at the local, regional and international level.
